🚀 Getting Started

1

Tap the + button

On the Home screen, tap the green "+" button in the bottom-right corner to start a new propagation entry.

2

Enter plant details

Give your propagation a name (e.g., "Kitchen Pothos"), select the plant species, and choose the propagation method (water, soil, moss, etc.).

3

Add a photo

Take a photo of your fresh cutting or choose one from your library. This will be your "Day 1" reference photo.

4

Set a reminder (optional)

Enable reminders to get notified when it's time to check on your cutting, change water, or take a progress photo.

5

Save & track

Hit "Save" and your propagation will appear on the Home screen. Come back any time to add updates!

1

Active propagations

Your Home screen shows all active propagation projects as cards. Each card displays the plant name, days since start, current status, and the most recent photo.

2

Status indicators

Cards are color-coded: green for healthy, yellow for needs attention, and a checkmark for successfully rooted propagations.

3

Quick actions

Swipe on a card to access quick actions: add a photo, log a measurement, or mark as complete.

📸 Photo Journal

1

Open a propagation

Tap on any propagation card from the Home screen to open its detail view.

2

Tap "Add Entry"

Use the "Add Entry" button to create a new journal entry. You can take a photo directly or choose from your library.

1

Collect enough photos

For a good time-lapse, aim for at least 5–10 photos taken over several days or weeks.

2

Open the propagation detail

Navigate to the propagation you want to create a time-lapse for.

3

Tap the time-lapse icon

Look for the video/time-lapse icon in the toolbar. Rootling will compile your photos into a smooth video you can save or share.

📊 Growth Tracking

1

Open the Growth Tracker

Inside any propagation detail view, switch to the "Growth" tab to see the measurement tracker.

2

Log measurements

Add journal entries with notes and photos. Each entry is automatically date-stamped and contributes to your growth activity chart.
