Beyond No: A Low-Interruption, Autonomy-Supportive Framework for Early Childhood Self-Directed Learning in Prepared Environments

abstract

Proposes a low-interruption, autonomy-supportive framework for adults accompanying self-directed learning in early childhood. Instead of steering children through constant verbal correction, the framework leans on prepared environments and minimal, well-timed interventions, so that the child’s own activity — not the adult’s narration of it — stays at the center of the learning episode.
